PRINCESS CRUISES (PCL) AWARDS NOXX HYD™ ANTI FOULING SYSTEM CONTRACT TO EMCS INDUSTRIES LTD

PRINCESS CRUISES (PCL) AWARDS CONTRACT TO EMCS INDUSTRIES LTD TO PROVIDE THE NEXT GENERATION NOXX HYD™ NON-BIOCIDAL ANTIFOULING SOLUTION TO THE ROYAL PRINCESS, THEIR FLAGSHIP CRUISE VESSEL.

December 20th, 2018: Princess Cruises (PCL) based in Santa Clarita, California has purchased the NOXX HYD™ Hydrosonic Antifouling System from EMCS Industries Ltd for their flagship Royal Princess cruise ship. This will be the first cruise ship in the fleet to adopt this low frequency technology.

The NOXX HYD™ system will further enhance PCLs environmental approach to reducing marine fouling in the internal piping systems without harming the ocean ecosystems, and without harming the mussels and barnacles that cause the problem. The technology will also add considerable energy savings in the process.

Due to be delivered by March 1, 2019, the system will protect all six sea chests and intake grates on the Royal Princess against marine fouling. The Royal Princess measures 142,714 gross tonnage and has a capacity of 3,600 passengers. The NOXX HYD™ [pat.pending] system is extremely environmentally friendly, it is a frequency based solution that replaces antifouling systems that release toxins into the oceans and lakes around the world, or that use cavitation.

NOXX HYD™ [pat.pending] uses a completely different science to prevent fouling. Solutions such as externally applied coatings, chlorine/copper and ultrasound are replaced. This is the fourth contract in the last 12 months where the NOXX HYD™ next generation eco friendly antifouling solution has been awarded to EMCS Industries Ltd.
